Previously, Kiran led design, strategy, and branding at Niyo, India's largest Neo/digital banking service provider.

He was a Principal Researcher at Yahoo!, one of the world's earliest web service providers, where he was instrumental in establishing and running India's first UX lab. Kiran also served as Experience Lead at InMobi, an Indian multinational advertising technology company. At PayPal, the world’s leading digital payment platform, he helped build a team of designers in India focused on key consumer experiences. He also co-founded Vliv, a mobile video app for creating social video stories.

Kiran has been a senior lecturer in Interaction and Industrial Design at the Indian Institute of Technology, where he played a key role in developing Product Interaction and Game Design courses for postgraduate programs. He also occasionally teaches at some of India’s leading design schools, including the National Institute of Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Industrial Design Center, and Weschool.

Kiran is a key, hands on designer of notable products like the Niyo Global App, Activity streams of Paypal, LetsVenture App, Vliv app, the Hampi, Bimba board games, Moonwalkr cricket gear, and Bangalore Steiner School.

He lives in Bangalore, India, with his wife Sindhu, a graphic designer, and their two children. Kiran enjoys writing, exploring new ideas, designing board games, studying Indic traditions, and learning the sitar.
